Pa Karim Memorial Primary School Recognizes Top Students with First-Ever Awards Ceremony

Updated: Sep 13

The Pa Karim Memorial Primary School has served students since 2002, with pupils progressing through all classes. However, despite their promotions, the school had never awarded certificates or prizes to recognize hardworking students. This recognition is essential for motivating students to be diligent, enthusiastic, and committed to their academic work.

The Pa Karim Memorial Foundation identified this gap and recognized the need to address it to improve academic performance at the PK Memorial Primary School in Magbaikoli Village. As a result, the Foundation prepared certificates to be awarded to students who excelled in their classes, from Grade 1 to Grade 5. The plan was to present certificates of merit to the top ten outstanding students in each class during the closing ceremony of the academic year, coinciding with the distribution of report cards.

On July 19, 2024, Project Manager Justice Abdul Kamara, on behalf of the Pa Karim Memorial Foundation, awarded certificates and gave prizes to the top ten performers in Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. This historic event marked the first time that certificates were presented to the school's deserving, hardworking, and outstanding students for their achievements in a specific academic year. It was a momentous occasion, a testament to the students' remarkable achievements and their unwavering commitment to their studies.
